Edited in Marvel Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). Now that the first season is over, I can confidently say that this series has exceeded my expectations. It uses clever scripting and detailed animation to give fans the service they’ve been waiting for and more. Each episode is pretty varied, so there are a lot of different scenarios and you never know how it will turn out or what characters will show up. The series wastes no time in explaining anything from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and just gets right to the point of the scenarios, and also starts merging scenarios without warning. This is for fans, not casual viewers! However, the variety of episodes also means that the quality and tone varies drastically as well. The short runtime means that a lot of events and battles are cut out. There was a fair amount of care put into making everything canon and consistent, but there are still some shortcomings and each character’s power/ability seemed to be contrived based on the needs of the plot.
